We specify ‘nickel free’ when ordering our earring bails. The hooks are sometimes sterling silver, but nowadays we prefer the stronger silver- or gold-plated stainless steel hooks.

Sometimes we’ve been asked to make a single earring to replace a lost one. Because of our process, it is very difficult to create an identical earring in a separate kiln firing. It is more economical to make a similar new pair.
